THE TREATMENT

Shiatsu session takes place on a mat on the floor fully clothed. The practitioner uses pressure with his or her thumbs, fingers, palms and sometimes elbows, knees and feet to induce deep relaxation and well-being.
It is sometimes a dynamic sometimes static form of therapy involving pressure on and stretching of limbs, torso kneading and releasing tight muscles and supporting areas of weakness.

Shiatsu is deeply relaxing and yet invigorating, leaving the receiver with a feeling of tranquility and sense of being in touch with every part of one's body.
